Power Unleashed is deeply personal to me. As the father of three incredible children on the autism spectrum, my family’s journey has been filled with challenges, resilience, and determination. I’ve seen my kids battle bullying, navigate rigid systems, and overcome setbacks that could have discouraged even the strongest of spirits. But I’ve also seen their triumphs—the moments when they’ve found their passions, embraced their strengths, and flourished despite the odds.
Lex, my eldest, faced severe anxiety, food aversion, and epilepsy before his journey ended too soon in 2020. Taylor, who has ASD and ADHD, struggled in traditional schooling but found his place in alternative education, Scouts, and martial arts. Torah, my youngest, has embraced her own unique path with gymnastics and creativity. Together, their stories shaped my understanding of what’s possible when the right support, encouragement, and tools are in place.
Professionally, I’ve spent nearly two decades working in recruitment, leadership development, and career coaching. I’ve guided veterans transitioning from military service, many grappling with mental health and physical challenges, and witnessed how human-centred strategies can unlock potential.
Combining my professional expertise with my family’s lived experiences, I created Power Unleashed to bridge the gap I so often saw in support systems. This program is my way of ensuring that individuals with disabilities are not just supported but empowered to embrace their passions, build confidence, and lead fulfilling lives.

HUMAN CENTRED DESIGN
Human-Centred Design (HCD) is at the heart of everything we do at Power Unleashed. It’s not just about creating a program; it’s about designing a journey that reflects the unique strengths, needs, and aspirations of each participant.
We start with one simple truth: every individual is different. Through personalized coaching and co-designed pathways, our program adapts to each participant’s story. From setting goals to tackling challenges, every step is relevant, supportive, and aligned with their ambitions.
But HCD doesn’t stop with how we teach—it’s also a tool we equip our participants with. By embracing HCD, they learn to approach life’s challenges with empathy, creativity, and strategic thinking. Whether solving a problem, navigating relationships, or pursuing a career, HCD becomes a life-long skill that empowers them to shape their own futures.
SCOUTING METHODS
Scouting is a philosophy of growth, resilience, and leadership—principles that align perfectly with the ethos of Power Unleashed. As a Scout leader, I’ve seen the transformative power of hands-on learning, community engagement, and values-driven growth.
Our program draws heavily from Scouting principles, embedding them into every aspect of the journey. Through real-world projects, participants explore their passions while building critical skills. These Special Interest Areas (SIAs) give them the chance to connect with their communities, develop independence, and make meaningful contributions.
Scouting also teaches the importance of teamwork, self-reliance, and service to others. At Power Unleashed, these values shape how participants grow—not just as individuals, but as leaders ready to inspire and uplift those around them.
