A Vision Born from Experience
Power Unleashed is here to help people with disabilities take charge of their lives. Participants come in one day a week and get involved in group activities, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions. It’s all about figuring out what they want, what they’re good at, and how to make it happen. Whether it’s landing a job, building confidence, or gaining independence, we’re here to support them every step of the way.
Graeme Isaacs, a dad to three kids on the autism spectrum, knows firsthand the challenges of a world that doesn’t always fit their strengths. Advocating for them, seeing their resilience, and working in career coaching, Leadership Development and Recruitment for nearly 20 years made him realise the gaps in traditional support. So, he built a program that actually helps, one that gives people the skills, confidence, and real opportunities to succeed.

John’s Journey

John doesn’t know what direction to take in life. Through Power Unleashed, he will use the Birkman Assessment to explore his strengths and interests, work with a coach to set goals, and gains hands-on experience that prepares him for his first job.
Oliver’s Vision

Oliver has never had a long term romantic relationship and puts this above everything else in his life. We’ll help him see that he can have a meaningful relationship and a career. We’ll support him in developing the skills to achieve both.
Emily’s Story

Emily has amazing creativity but doesn’t think it can lead to a career. We’ll help increase her confidence, work with her to develop networks and help her turn her love for design and social media into a career in digital marketing.
Taylor’s Triumph

Taylor is one of Graeme’s kids, and he’s on the Autism Spectrum. He was truly lost at the end of year 11, he didn’t want to complete year 12 for mental health reasons. Upon debriefing his Birkman we discovered his love for helping others, he is now: a qualified Cub Scout Leader, Volunteer Fire Fighter with the CFA, Volunteers in the Salvation Army Kitchen and is exploring the possibility of becoming a mechanic.
power unleashed and disability rights advocacy
ADVOCATING FOR DISABILITY RIGHTS
At Power Unleashed, we’re here to shake things up and make real change for people with disabilities. Through straight-talking articles, TikTok videos that get people thinking, and real advocacy, we’ll call out the barriers people face while celebrating their wins. Whether it’s pushing for better accessibility, making sure people know what support is out there, or sharing success stories, we’re all about action—not just talk. We’re here to amplify voices, challenge outdated thinking, and show the world what’s possible.
International Day of People with Disability: Amplifying Leadership for an Inclusive Future
On International Day of People with Disability, we honor the exceptional leadership emerging from the disability community. last year’s theme, “Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future,” reminds us of the untapped potential that lies in creating truly inclusive spaces.
From advocates to entrepreneurs, individuals with disabilities are shaping a future driven by resilience, creativity, and empathy. It’s time to not only celebrate these voices but to ensure they lead the way in building a world where diversity is our greatest strength.
The Future of Disability Employment in Australia: What’s Already Changing and What Needs to Change?
The future of disability employment in Australia is evolving, but we have a long way to go. While we’re seeing promising initiatives, the employment gap between people with disabilities and those without is still far too wide. It’s time to bridge that gap. Let’s talk about what’s changing, what needs to change, and how we can create workplaces that are truly inclusive—not just on paper, but in practice. We need to move from compliance to genuine empowerment.
From Skill-Building to Self-Belief: The Promise of Gamified Learning
What if learning wasn’t just about acquiring skills but about discovering what you’re truly capable of? For people with disabilities, traditional approaches can feel like barriers. Gamified learning changes that by turning growth into an empowering journey of achievements and self-discovery.
Drawing on lessons from Scouts and beyond, my latest article explores how gamified learning builds confidence, celebrates small wins, and creates opportunities for real transformation.
This is about more than learning—it’s about empowerment, progress, and seeing potential where others see limits.

COMBINING GAMIFIED LEARNING WITH HUMAN CENTRED DESIGN TO UNLOCK POTENTIAL
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach because everyone’s journey is different. We tailor what we do to each participant’s goals and strengths. Here’s what participants can expect:
Skill Building: We start by helping them build essential skills—confidence, communication, and practical life tools.
Real-World Practice: We guide participants as they put these skills into action, offering support and feedback along the way.
Path to Independence: We work with them to achieve real outcomes, like finding a job, building relationships, or setting up for further study.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS ACHIEVE
Our program is practical and outcomes focused. Here’s what participants leave with:
Work and Life Readiness: Participants learn how to handle job interviews, workplace etiquette, and even managing their finances.
Clear Goals and Real Opportunities: We work with companies to create opportunities that match each person’s ambitions. Whether it’s finding a job or taking steps toward personal growth, we help them make it happen.
Confidence to Tackle Anything: From navigating daily challenges to chasing big dreams, we help participants feel ready for what’s ahead.
Problem-Solving Skills: Participants learn how to think on their feet and find solutions to the challenges they face.

My life has transformed
I had the privilege of working with Graeme Isaacs for over a year on career coaching, resume writing, and job skill development. In early 2024, I was medically discharged from the Australian Defence Force and faced uncertainty about my career path. I wasn’t sure where to start or how to leverage my skills outside the military.
Graeme was instrumental in helping me navigate this challenging transition. He guided me through the process of identifying my passions, aligning them with my strengths, and developing a clear strategy for my future career. His support not only boosted my confidence but also ensured I was well-prepared to pursue new opportunities.
Thanks to Graeme’s guidance, I am now employed as an Assistant Instructor within the VPS and feel confident in my career trajectory. I can confidently say that without Graeme’s expertise, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of career coaching or support during major life transitions.

Turning point
From the first session I had with Graeme, I could tell immediately that he knew what he was talking about. His knowledge and experience in his field made me want to learn everything I could from him in the short period of time I had. He always went above and beyond to provide his guidance on topics I was interested in and ways in which I can improve my skill set. From his book recommendations to documentaries to how to structure a cold email, they all lead me on a journey of personal growth that I’m deeply grateful for!
